Midwest Living Named the Best of the Midwest:
The Machine Shed and Captain's Table

Midwest Living Magazine has published in their June 2003 issue, the travel survey winners for "The Best of the Midwest". Travelers voted on a number of their favorites, including restaurants, ice cream and attractions. The Machine Shed Restaurants were named the Best Place to Eat when YOU Buy. Midwest Living readers made comments about The Machine Shed's reasonable prices and familiar foods.

Captain's Table, Moline, IL received Honorable Mention for the Best Place to Eat Seafood.

Heart of America Restaurants & Inns owns seven Machine Sheds, located in Davenport, Iowa; Lake Elmo, Minnesota; Urbandale, Iowa; Olathe, Kansas; Appleton, Wisconsin; Pewaukee, Wisconsin and Rockford, Illinois. It also owns Thunder Bay Grilles in Davenport, Iowa; Rockford, Illinois and Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Johnny's Italian Steakhouse is located in Moline, Illinois and Des Moines, Iowa. The Captain's Table is situated in Moline, Illinois.

Heart of America also owns Wildwood Lodge in Lake Elmo, Minnesota and Clive, Iowa. The Comfort Inn is located in Davenport, Iowa. Comfort Suites can be found in Urbandale, Iowa; Olathe, Kansas; and Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Also owned is the Sleep Inn Hotel in Urbandale, Iowa.
