Radisson Hotel Des Moines Airport Ranks first in Nation

The Radisson Hotel Des Moines Airport topped the company's portfolio of 189 Radisson Hotels in the United States for Business travelers' guest satisfaction for all of 2006. The research was conducted by the Medallia system, a comprehensive electronic system that queries guests via e-mail. The in-depth survey covers the hotel's performance in every area of operations: service, maintenance, cleanliness, food & beverage, transportation, etc. Rigid standards set forth by Radisson Hotels & Resorts are expected to be surpassed, not just maintained.

The Radisson Hotel Des Moines Airport is owned and operated by Heart of America Restaurants and Inns. The hotel opened in 1999 and became a Radisson in 2002 when it was joined by the company's Johnny's Italian Steakhouse adjacent to the hotel. Both properties cater to corporate clientele who demand excellent service and amenities to facilitate productive travel. The hotel has 101 rooms and suites along with several meeting rooms; wireless internet service, a fitness center, business center, pool, whirlpool, free airport and downtown shuttle are also amenities at the Radisson Hotel Des Moines Airport.

Heart of America was founded by Mike Whalen in 1978 and has a 29 year history of award-winning hospitality. Other Des Moines area operations include Comfort Suites, Sleep Inn, Wildwood Lodge and The Iowa Machine Shed Restaurant. Two more hotels have been announced for the Des Moines area: The Holiday Inn and Suites, 60th and George Mills Pkwy, West Des Moines and the Fairfield Inn and Suites which joins The Radisson and Johnny's Italian Steakhouse Fleur Drive and Army Post Rd., Des Moines.
